Karthika Balachandran (born June 6, 1986 Malayalam: ഭാവന ബാലചന്ദ്രന്), better known mononymously by her stage name Bhavana, is an Indian actress who acts in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies. She made her debut in Kamal's Nammal which won her critical acclaim and various honours, including the State award.
Born Karthika, Bhavana is the daughter of assistant cinematographer, G. Balachandran Menon and Pushpa. She has one brother named Jayaddev who is currently living in Vancouver, Canada.
She debuted in Malayalam film Nammal opposite newcomers like Siddharth, Jishnu and Renuka Menon. The film was a big success and she got several offers in Malayalam. She won many honours and Kerala State Special Jury Award for the same film. Bhavana was a 11th class student when she got her break in films.[2] She has acted with almost all actors of Malayalam including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Jayaram, Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya etc. In 2003, she became the part of hit movies like Chronic Bachelor, C.I.D.Moosa, Swapnakoodu etc.
Arthi Agarwal (also Arti Agarwal, Aarti Agarwal; Telugu: ఆర్తి అగర్వాల్; born March 5 in New Jersey, U.S.) is an Indian actress in Tollywood. She was brought up in New Jersey until the age of 14.[1] Sunil Shetty invited her to dance on stage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA when she was barely 14. Big B who was there too encouraged her father to take her to Bollywood.[citation needed] As a result, she did her first film Paagalpan in Hindi in 2001 but it was not a hit.[2] She then went to Tollywood. She did her first Tollywood movie Nuvvu Naaku Nachav with Telugu actor Venkatesh in 2001, which was more successful.[1] She became a big craze among the youth because of her charisma in Nuvvu naku nachav. But this seemed to evade gradually- just another example of actresses vulnerability from stardom to failure. Arthi’s younger sister Adithi has also joined in films. Adithi acted in Allu Arjun's Gangotri. She has the rare distinction of being cast with tollywood "fabfour"-chiranjeevi, nagarjuna, balakrishna and venkatesh. She has also acted with young dynamic heroes like Mahesh,NTR,RaviTeja,etc.
She has acted in 5 simultaneous movies directed by ace director B.Gopal (the last one being an item song) She also starred opposite Venkatesh for 3 films and all were incidentally good hits. She met with an accident under mysterious circumstances allegedly tripping over the steps. She had been hospitalised as it was very serious.
